Recovery time after saddle sore surgery

I've pretty much written off the remainder of my season . I'm having the surgical procedure this coming Monday.

I had one of these done just over a year ago. It was not the result of riding. Mine ruptured and started bleeding. So it was an emergency room procedure. I was not doing any excercising for three weeks.

But recovery time will depend on several things.

1) size of the abcess
2) size of the hole made to remove it (that will have to heal)
3) how infected the abcess is.

I stated that I did not exercise for three weeks. I say that knowing that there was no way I could have taken to a saddle at that stage (I was not into cycling then).

So you doctor will have the best idea on just how long you need to set down the bike. Depending on the variables listed above, it could be anywhere from 1 - 2 months.
