Default PowerTap Pro problem

Just got my new PT Pro, 2008 model. The new model has a coded HR monitor. Installed this morning and went out to test. All appears to be working except HR display. The self test on the CPU indicates it is receiving HR signal, but no HR value is displayed/recorded. I tried changing the battery in the strap with no change in behavior. Has anybody observed this before or have any advice?

i had a slight problem with my PT not recognizing the HR after it worked OK for weeks. i went to the last screen and self discovered the HR strap again. it has worked fine ever since. you might give this a try.

Thanks for the tip. There is an addendum to the instructions I missed initially. When performing an out of the box install, the CPU needs to "discover" additional sensors like coded HR. Once discovered, "find" works perfectly.
