Default Buyint helmet (price difference)

I'm buying a new helmet and I need a bit of an education
First I would like to know why this helmet costs 160$ and this one only 25$ . I don't see that big of a difference between or is there ?

What should I look for when buying helmet? (weight, wind tunnels ... ??)

Thank you

good questiond & the cheaper one is lighter, only 5 grams though, its nothing really, but for qirious cyclists it may mean something. the only real difference is that the 160 seems to have 6 more vents than the other allowing heat to escape more easily while still allowing protection.

from what ive noticed, the more expensive ones will generally come in sizes of small, medium, and large or be suited more for male vs. female. The less expensive ones will be a "one size fits all".
Also, the more expensive ones may tend to fit better and have higher levels of adjustment.
I wouldnt worry too much about the number of vents advertised because they can vary in size from one brand to another.

With all that being said, all helmets must meet the same standard minimum guidelines for safety. It's just a helmet. I'd get the cheap one and use the saved money to fund my next bike purchase.
