Default Non vs Name Brands

I am looking for a new bike and I have been looking at Bianchi, Cinelli, Pinarello, Felt. Is there a big differents between the name brands or the non name brands like ROI, Tommaso, IBEX, Flyte. I see they do have some of the same components. Are you just buying a name or are the frames that much better.

Ride and see if you can actually feel the difference. If not, you are buying a badge.

At the end of the day, none of them have a significant enough performance edge at the pro level, or else one bike would have cleaned up every race out there.

Many of them actually come from the same factory/s and some even share designs.
On some of the higher end bike frames will be adjusted during manufacturing to the brands specifications on others they will be exactly the same as their cheaper counterparts.
check out www.raceconcept.net just as an example they are a relatively little known
bicycle manufacturer of incredible machines and their frames come from the same factory as some of the biggest names you have probably drueled over.
there is an Australian site under construction I just can't find it.
You really have to ride a bike to compare it if you are after great value comfortable bike ignore the badge and try it, If you are after the bling factor.......well you can guess the rest.

Dean.
