Hello!!!
I just registered today, and I´m trying to find some information about MTB in New Zealand. I´m spanish, and love MTB so much. For this November I want to make a trip to NZ to ride some paths and singletracks!! I´m not sure if going on my own or book a programated excursion. I will really thank whatever kind of information, paths, bike-hire, tours companies... My idea is going to the South Island, and stay there for a couple of weeks. Maybe 10 days riding and resting the others. The kind of MTB I use to do is "all mountain" or "enduro", I ride a 165mm suspension frame with 160mm fork. Love singletracks, dislike roads, an love so much mountains, highs, wild nature. Tanks!!! Jorge |

One track you realy must do is the Queen Charlotte whice is in a place called Picton, it's situated in the north of the south island and involves 71km of single track. a boat can be caught frim Picton to the start of the track and there are hotels and camp sites all the way along. Most people take 3 days to complete the ride. heres a web site with info http://www.qctrack.co.nz/track/bike/ |

Thanks!!! I´ve been reading in the web and looks like prefect for riding. It´s not really long, but 3 days looks perfect to enjoy the place. And it´s good we can do it by ourselves!! |

Great!!
I trust you, often lenght is less important than the floor of the trail Does it have technical parts or nice downhills?? I´m not sure if renting a bike there or carry mine from Spain. I prefer mine, but maybe is hard to travel so long with it... |
