Default Anything in Limerick this weekend?

I'm going to be in Limerick this coming weekend (starting Friday 29th June) and am looking for a good warm-up event in advance of the Ring of Kerry the following weekend. I heard something about a Limerick to Doonbeg charity cycle that somehow involves Sean Kelly...anyone know anything about that? Can I just join in or do I need to have a sponsorship card? Or perhaps there is some regular Saturday morning group ride I can just turn up to? I'm ideally looking for something in the 100km sort of distance but beggars can't be choosers.

There's nothing planned - so far as I know - for this weekend as regards cycling in Limerick.

You can cycle from Limerick to Doonbeg : go Limerick-Ennis, take a left in Ennis and go out the coast road to Doonbeg.
Hard road from Ennis to Doonbeg : winding route, irregular surface and very busy with holiday traffic at this time of year.

The next major event re Sean Kelly is the North Tipperary Wheelers ride :
in mid-July if you're around.
Let me know and I will post the details.

Thanks limerickman - that'd be great if you could. I've just moved back to Ireland (Cork) having spent a few years overseas and finding it difficult to discover what's on and when! The paulkavanagh.info calendar has some stuff but not everything...

The thing I was talking about is organised by BDO Simpson-Xavier - an accountancy firm apparently.
