1. moab/bartlett wash, UTAH

2. maah daah hey trail, N. DAKOTA

3. tsali/pisgah, N. CAROLINA

4. COLORADO

5. HAWAII

just to name a few; there are awesome riding spots in all 50.

6. Bend, OREGON

7. sun valley, IDAHO

keep checking -- look for local mtb clubs in every state....

There are some awesome trails in the Lake Tahoe region of California. I'm not sure about the other major ski resorts there but during the summer months the Northstar resort opens up all their ski runs as mountain biking trails and there's something for all abilities and skill levels.
