I was a lifelong resident of Mo-Town until july 2000. Miss it.
Worked at World Of Wheels on Standiford av. for several years in the early 90s. I probably rode every paved country backroad around Modesto at one time. We used to meet at cycle masters shop in Turlock for (fast) Wednesday evening rides, don't know if that gang still meets or not. Been years. Try the Stanislaus County Bike Club, they used to do the bi-monthly Knights Ferry & La Grange rides and many others. Some friendly riders of all levels & ages there. Google them.
