My first distance ride.
This coming sunday im going to be doing my first "distance" ride, It's only about 35 miles which I know is not really that far and I know I am totally capable of doing it, but does anyone have any tips on preparing my bike or any gear I should bring along?

Yep, I got a flat on the third ride with my new bike. After walking the bike home 4.5 miles I bought a tube repair kit and pump and keep them on the bike. Dont know where you are but lots of water. Mark Quote:

I did a ride on my mtn. bike. It was only about 20 miles but half way through my crank arm fell off. The bike shop hadn't tightened it like they should have. Thank goodness I had my cell phone. So, tighten up those crank arms then crank away. Good luck, Greg
