Default Perpetuem = yuck!

I like how it works, but I do not like the taste (1-2 scoops per large bottle). Anyone have a trick for getting this stuff down the hatch?

You might try mixing the Perpetuem with Heed to improve the taste. Some people have reported using a 1:1 mixture of Perpetuem/Heed with decent results.

I recently ran out of Perpetuem and am going to try the same thing with the big tub of Sustained Energy I have.

Jeebus! There is this thread and its sibling in the equipment forum and we have alread found at least three of us that have big jugs of Sustained Energy gathering dust. How many people got screwed with this nasty tasting product?

As one of the coodinators for the cat 4's on my team this year I set up an enegy drink "tasting" at one of our early meetings this year so that people could avoid just that. Had everyone bring a bottle of their favorite stuff (revcovery and on bike) and supplied a whole bunch of tiny (1oz) cups so that everyone could get a taste. It was great - found a lot of stuff that I though was just nasty- so I know not to buy it .

Default Sugar Fix

If you've got typical tastebuds you'll crave something sweeter than perp or SE. I noticed that after I altered my diet and eliminated all that corn sryup and fructose that comes in everything from cereal to pasta sauce my perception of sweetness was radically altered and I really came to like the hammer stuff and find just about everything else FAR too sweet.

Back to the original question. An easy way to make it better is to mix in hammer gel of your choice to the plain flavored perp or SE. That should do the trick.

hmmm...looks like i must be one of the rare ones that actually like the subtle flavour of perpetuem...or maybe it's because i enjoy soy milk, which is one of the lesser ingredients in this drink but seem to stand out the most.
