Cool front racks?

hi guys,
i am new in touring and need advice.
is it better to have heavy bags at the back and a free front wheel our is it better to balance the weight using front racks.
i have never ride a bike with weight on the front and hesitate to buy front racks.
any tips? thanks.

....yes! front panniers are recommended.
most touring cyclists and guide books say this.
the guideline for load distribution is:
40% front, 60% rear.

touring: panniers: load distribution tips.

all the best!

mike.
