One thing, you may want to try lactose free milk. I like the taste and for those who don't tolerate lactose it is great. It costs a little more. |

I hate to say it but what you eat really isn't very important. Cal. count is. Pretty simple, if you're losing weight add colories, of gaining reduse. Now what you need are high caloric foods. Proteins tend to be pretty low calorie as the meat takes the body quite a bit of energy to break down, the fats however break down very easily which is why people are so anti fat nowadays. You gain more weight eating high cal, easily digested foods. So, things that will add lots of calories to your diet are generaly starches/carbs. Fruits are a huge benifit, high cal, lots of sugars and carbs so eat fruit of any type even juice. Eat often, say 6-8 meals a day. Oatmeal, fruits, chicken, beef with some decent marbleing won't kill you, nor will a bit of skin on that chicken. Veggies, add butter and or cheese, use honey as a sweetener in things you want sweeter, ie oatmeal or on toast or some such. Still eat good whole foods just eat more often, and up the caloric intake, then back off on some things if you see yourself gaining to rapidly. Just my .02.
