I am a newbie and just bought a used Cannondale with Look pedals. What is the easist way to use them? To get in and out quickly? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sur. there is no model number on it. It is red with a grey clip and says f ARC on the bottom. on the top there is a nut that adjusts with an allen wrench.

I cannot recommend a cycling shoe, since you need to know what type of pedals you have. I would bring it to your local cycling shop, and hopefully they could help. As for the nut that adjusts, that's the MULTI TENSOR SPRING TENSION ADJUSTMENT. All Look pedals feature the Multi Tensor. This means that the pedal has adjustable spring tension, which allows you to adjust how loose or tight your pedal retention plate is. Each pedal possesses a varying spring-tension range. Less expensive pedals have a lighter spring-tension range, and more expensive pedals have a tighter spring-tension range. The Multi Tensor is adjusted by turning a single allen bolt on the pedal. Also, see if your pedals are on LOOKS webpage: http://www.lookcyclesusa.com/pedals.htm

Practice getting in and out of them BEFORE you go riding.... I have seen too many people ( myself included) ride with tehm for the first time, and no realize what you had to do to get out of the pedals, and fall over... leg fatigue doesn't help!
