Has anyone had experience with buying from Chain Reaction Cycles in the UK? For o/s bike parts purchases I normally use Probikekit but Chain Reaction had an item PBK didn't advertise.
Anyway, I've now been waiting for over two weeks for the item to arrive. I've only just sent an email enquiring about the order (have yet to receive reply) but was just wondering if others had experiences with orders. |

I also buy stuff from them. Never had a problem, good service and good competetive pricing.

I have only made one purchase from Chainreaction so far, and they have been very quick in answering my enquiries via email. I mucked up my mailing address, but the package still reached me, thanks to Auspost.
I'd say the delivery times could be extended due to the holiday rush. I will most likely be putting in another order after Christmas. |

Hi
Thanks for the replies. I suspect the delay is due to the Xmas period but just wanted to make sure (I've had a couple of incidents with other online stores in the past so am a little cautious on my first purchase from any store new to me). I was hoping for positive experiences because I like the range they have on offer. Cheers again. ![]() |

I'd say it is the xmas rush. I did an order to Torpedo7 last week, which took about 8 days. The tracking had it in transit from nz to aus for about 6 of those days. That's a few trips around the world! I suspect it was held up in customs during that time.
I've ordered from crc and it took about a week from the uk. |

Was any of your order an "out of stock item" that they were going to order in? Chain reaction hold the order until things come into stock, but they do make it clear that they are doing this and they also don't charge your card until the item is dispatched, which is a different tack from the other online retailers. I've used them both here and back in the UK prior to moving, nothing but good things to say about them..... |

That's strange. Put in an order with Torpedo7 last week; received within three days. Same with a mate of mine. Yeah, I think it's becasue of Xmas too. Quote:
No, the item was listed as being in stock. It was an Ultegra cassette. Would have liked it before Xmas to use over the break but not to worry. I'll probably put another order in next year. They certainly have good prices and good variety. Good to hear positive experiences from others; makes me less anxious. |
