Default NSW Big Ride

Hey everyone,

Is anyone here doing the Big Ride next year? Or know of anyone who is doing it? It sounds kinda cool, and I know the scenery up Taree way is beautiful (lots of family living up there), so there's always something to look at! Might make the uphill climbs a little less painful

Anyhoo it's in March and goes for 9 days. It sounds like fun - not professional, but still pretty challenging. If memory serves me correctly, it's been running for a few years. There's heaps of information on the website - www.bigride.com.au - so if anyone is interested you should definitely check it out!

Hi, I've been a catering volunteer on the last 5 NSW Big Rides.
My volunteer application for next year's ride have been put in the post, so it looks like I'll be up at Taree next year.
The idea of actually riding it has crossed my mind - and I hope to have the money to pay for it in Jan or Feb.

I think NSW Big Rides are heaps of fun.
Over the year's I have got to meet alot of people & each ride I go on I see alot of familar faces.
The ride isn't too big, in relation to the number of participants, so there is a good community spirit on the ride.
And as a catering volunteer I might be bias saying this - the food provided is pretty good. My fav is the Kebabs with satay sauce & jasmine rice - Very yummy. And there was some homemade apple crumble I helped make on this year's ride - also very yummy

My birthday is in March (19th to be exact) - so I'll be able to enjoy some birthday drinks in a pub on the ride.

Happy riding

I've been a volunteer on the last two Big Rides. My volunteer application form has been faxed to Bicycle NSW. The volunteer team I would like to be in is catering.

Why do I wasnt to be a catering volunteer?
Catering is the team where you get to meet a lot of the riders.
Working with food is somthing I like to do.
You don't have to work in the sun.
Never have to line up for dinner.
You get to meet new volunters and get to see the friends you made the year before.

See you on the 2007 Big Ride
Keep cycling instead of using the internet
