Yes there was a period that shops sold more road shirts for the 'club' scene than bike riding!
There are quite a few UK celebrity/singer links with cycling apart from the recent high profile Lance Armstrong groupies. Bryan Ferry was quite a handy clubrider The Rolling Stones I think visited Condors in London on a few occasions for their road bikes. The latest James Bond started out riding time trials in England as did David Beckham. Alexei Sayle is an avid cyclist ........etc. etc. |
