Default Bomley Bicycles - avoid!

Hey, has anyone else had any bad experienced ordering from these guys on line?

Anyone want to challenge the following statement? :-

AVOID BROMLEY BICYCLES - BAD MERCHANT RATING!!

I was looking for a pair of mtb shoes in a hurry, finally found some that were listed as in stock, ordered them on a Saturday, then nothing.

Called Bromley on the Wed morning and he said they were expecting more stock "today or tomorrow". In fairness, he offered to refund, but I said I'd look and see if I could find them anywhere else first. Within 10 mins, I'd found some, ordered them and e-mailed a cancellation to Bromley Bikes.

Again, no response.

I got the shoes (cancelled order) today and now I have the ballache of posting them back and waiting for my refund.

Basically, this seems to be a veneer of online merchant, fronting a total inability to keep the system up to date. At not time did their website stop listing these shoes as in stock - that's 3 working days. So, he doesn't check his e-mails and he doesn't update his website. Not good.

The guy I spoke to today was completely unapologetic claiming that his position was "different" to (and these are my examples) Pearson's or Primera in Bournemouth. It isn't and I explained that the customer isn't to know this even if it was. He then said he wasn't claiming to be like them and when I pointed out that is not what his website says, he hung up!
