Whats up?
I need a stiff lightish frame for as cheap as possible..... anyone ever used Leader's 516H? Good idea, bad idea? Even with the 3.6 lb frame it should be a 22.3 lb bike Help a noob out. |

Hop on Performancebike and get the Access XCL. Its a LIGHT frame and the tube shaping is very unique. I have taken it out a few times and its great. Just stick to an 80mm fork. 100mm is too much and throws the handling way out of wack on the vertical stuff.

I have NOT ridden a Leader frame yet, but I have definite plans to buy one of their time trial bikes.
I'm going to check in to their Mtn bikes at the same time. Their stuff seems to get good reviews from those that have experience with them. |

Note, the geometry on their Mtn bikes is said to have an unusually short top tube relative to other brands.
Make sure the geometry is acceptable to you. I ultimately decided to buy elsewhere because I specifically want more cockpit room. I was on the size boundary and went for the larger frame also, just to ensure the top tube length was greater. This may not be a consideration for you. |
