Default best gels

I have just started packing gels with me when I ride. So far the best has been the accel gel. This brand seems to give me a noticeable amount of replenished energy around the 30 mile mark of a 40-60 mile ride.

What other supplements are you using / would you recommend?

I'm a big time fan of accel gel and accelerade. Take it with me on *almost* every ride, minus recovery and easy/social group rides. Goes down easier than a lot of other brands (for me at least) and also has a bit, but not very much, protein in it.

CarBOOM gels are the best tasting. Hammergel is the most economical and works well but it is sold in big bottles and you use it to fill small flask; this often is not convenient.

I like Cytomax, but like all energy drinks you have to experiment to find flavors you like.

Hammer gel works the best for me. Also use Hammer Heed and Perpetuem drink mix.

I also use hammer gel. Quality product, and it's inexpensive compared to some of the others, especially when you buy the jugs.

I heard that stuff shrinks your dink. I would _not_ recommend it.

I'll have to try that. My favorite so far is the Fruit Punch. Grape is okay. Apple Berry tastes like medicine. Peach is too sweet. It sucks when you buy a 4.5 lb can can don't like the flavor...

Bro,

If we're talking gels, I fully support vanilla. If we're talking POWDER for energy DRINK, I drink CytoMax Fruit Punch.

I wanna try grapefruit soon though (powder)

Ahhh, I see. I mentioned Cytomax drink earlier in the thread and I was stuck thinking about that. The Cran Grapefruit is not bad.
