Default wanting to get into racing

I started riding a month ago and would like to get into races, I'm wondering what kind of training I would have to get into shape for them. right now I ride 5-6 hours a week and can adverage about 21 mph. My dad has a nice bike with toe clips that he lets me use so for now I'm set in that department. I live in ohio and I'm 15 years old, thanks for any info

How long can you average 21mph and on what sort of terrain? You would probably fair pretty well in a junior race, seeing as how many of them don't really train at all. Just need to watch out for the occasional cat 1/2/3 junior.

Check out the racing clubs on this link, and do some research to find out which has a Junior Development Squad or emphasizes Jr. Racing. That will help you with training and learning how to ride. Or go to your local bike shop and ask them the same ?s. You'll probably need so new gear (your own bike, clipless pedals, and things you wont even think of so getting to be buddies with your bike shop is a good idea anyway).
