howzit ?
I usually don't hang out in these forums, mostly stick to two others but have been lurking here for a few days now. I've wondered if there were any RSA specific forums prior to finding this. I lived in Jo'burg for 5 years, have been back in the state for about the same amount of time but find myself really missing South Africa. I can now console myself in that I've found a local market that carries Nandos, Koos, Wheatabix, Appletizer, and a passable droewors and biltong (yah but just try to find good game biltong). Wasn't much into riding while I was there (spent most of my freetime at Sodies, Aliwal or Moz diving) but have taken it up again big time since returning to the states. Don't really have much to say other than the brief intro. cheers, Marty |

HOWZIT,
I don't know of any South specific sites even the South African page on this site is poorly vissited. Topics I’ve posted had very little response, so i stick to the general sites for discussions. ON the SCUBA side we have a local, news site that being Cape Town. http://www.surg.co.za/ And of course local weekly letters informing on cycling news. Here is a great web cam site to see what the weather is doing in Cape Town. http://www.kapstadt.de/lifecam.htm I've just come back from a 4 week trip, Scotland, Portugal and Spain at least Scotland have weetbix, but their peanut butter is limited. We got back to rain, rain, rain, and the Garden route area: Swellendam to PE have had really heavy rains and flooding And with the wet, came the flu so my ridding has been limited and i had to cancel the weekend dives at Castle rock. At least the weekend has been sunny. Cheers Howard |

As suggested above, thehubsa.co.za
and because your impressions above are correct we have also just launched www.psyclist.co.za which features forums, photo albums, submission of articles, submission of news, chatroom, training discussion and advice and it is all free.

Hallo, I heard someone mention weather over here... I live in the UAE and like its way different from cycling in SA (Pretoria). Its really hot here and barely ever rains. In summer at night its around 38 degrees C but I still ride. I like it though, how about you, really hot or really cold weather, which is better for biking?
