two questions...
was probencid banned when pedro delgado tested positive and won in 1988. as we know, a lot of tour winners had 'the gout', esp winners! it has nothing to do with the blocking of certain substances like anabolic steroids. also, was joop zoetemelk questioned about abnormally high testosterone levels in his 1980 tour win or was it the 1985 world champions. either way, high testosterone levels...geez, i wonder who else had that happen to? |

Probenicid wasn't on the UCi list when Delgado got caught with it. It was on the IOC list. The lab looked at the wrong list!
I fairly certain Zoetemelk was caught for testosterone in 1983, when on the Coop-Mercier team |
