Default Rider reimbursement

Rider reimbursement, what formula does your team use?

I am on a team that assigns points based solely upon where you place in an event.

This formula does not promote teamwork. If you work for a teammate you work against yourself.

So tell me how do other teams do Rider Reimbursements?

In this case the "leader" should then pay out the other riders who windbreaked for him. If he doesn't kindly hint you might not work so hard next time.

But best would be for a bonus for everyone based on best position.

This does not answer the question, what formula does your team use at the end of the year, with team money?

You split all winnings evenly with the riders who did that particular race.

Our team gets along enough to know who worked for various efforts throughout the race, and is able to split the winnings amongst those who had a direct effect on a podium finish. Only our pro-1-2 riders get race reimbursement. www.monstrhealthcare.com

Heres how we do it ... but we're a small club and everyone knows each other so it might or might not be applicable to larger organizations.

club must be operating with a positive bank balance, total amount for dispursement to be decided by the club officers

must participate in a 10 race minimum

$30 max reimbursement/race, not to exceed amount spent for entry

$500 max reimbursement/year, not to exceed amount spent on races

submit re-imbursement resume at season end, 1 x payout/yr

to be eligible, racer must have participated in promotion of a club event (planning, road guarding, street sweeping, etc., etc., etc.,)

races gotta be USCF permitted races, training races are excluded

That's about it, we did away with being results oriented as it was perceived to not foster a team environment and to create conflict among riders.

I like this formula. I think I may propose it to the TEAM.
