Default Is Phil Ligget annoyed?

Is it just me, or did Phil Ligget look annoyed at OLN's final sign off for the Tour?

Arms folded in front of him, his usual jovial look replaced by a stern look into the camera, he looked really annoyed. Was it Kirstin Gum's perpetually bubbly personality and unabashed admiration for Tyler Hamilton that grew tedious?

Or was it Bob Roll's unwavering insistence that Armstrong would emerge victorious? When Roll started to speak, he cut him off, which clearly annoyed Bobke as he furrowed his brow and looked across at Ligget and not at the camera.

Perhaps Phil's adherence to the fundamentals of journalism--that you report the news and not flavor it with your opinion--got tweaked by Kirstin's gushing commentary or Roll's admiration for Armstrong. Roll, along with others, was instrumental in getting Lance back on the bike, riding with him on a week getaway that was a turning point in Armstrong' return to the sport. It would
seem that he would know if Armstrong was going well enough to win.

Or maybe he was just tired. It was, after all, the best Tour in 5 years.

He seemed ok on the ITV digital coverage here in the UK...

I've met Phil a couple of times and he does seem to get a bit flustered.

Can't imagine he was disapointed with this years tdf!!

an eipc.

He was certainly thrilled with the Tour, no doubt about that.

Here in the US the tour is brought by Outdoor Life Network, though sandwiched between bull riding and hunting deer with bow and arrow, it was by far the best coverage we have ever seen.

Phil was his usual erudite, informed self during the whole Tour, it was at the final OLN sign-off that he seemed peeved, which certainly wasn't carried by ITV.
