My first ride I did 15 miles in about an hour an 10 minutes. I know I took it a bit easy since it was indeed my first ride and I had no idea what I was capable of. Rode with a good friend of mine that had been riding for several years and I told him I would probably only make it 5 miles. Next thing I knew I was at about 7 1/2 miles out so we turned back. Afterwards I was so pumped didnt even feal any pain. Then after that I started doing 20 mile rides and worked on my speed. But I know the first ride can be a little scary and you are not sure of your skill/ physical ability. Keep up the riding and you will get better!

My first ride was a twenty mile mostly flat loop. I did this on a mongoose bmx single gear trick bike. Took me about an hour and 10 mins. That all gave way to now doing 80 miles a day on a cannondale synapse in just under four hours. My have things changed.
