Hello cycling fans!
I'm grown up with the European Classics (I'm Dutch), and I always find them spectacular and interesting. Of course I also enjoy the Grand Tours very much, but the Classics are special enough- and only for the specialists (Bartoli, Bettini, Museeuw, Dekker...)! Now my question: What are your favoruite Classics, and why? Personally I think I like the Amstel Gold Race the most, but that;s also (or mainly) because I'm Dutch. Furthermore I like the Classics with at least a bit of mountains or hills in it: Zurich, Classica San Sebastian, Liege-Bastogne-Liege (Luik-Bastenaken-Luik) and also the Fleche Wallonais (Waalse Pijl)... But of course paris-Roubaix and the Tour de Flandre (Ronde van Vlaanderen) are epic as they are! What about your favourites? |

And also a short second question:
Should'n there be a Classic in for instance America, Canada, Australia or Eastern Europe in the (near) future? Enough riders coming from those regions. |
