i went for mcewen he seems to be sprinting faster than cooke at the moment . i would much rather see cooke win but i think mceweb has just got that edge.

well your wish was granted although I must say that both McEwen and Cooke weren't the top sprinters this Tour. I'm glad that Cooke won, because he at least won a stage.
The excitment about who was going to win the green jersey blurred the misserable performance of most sprinters in the Tour.

Pettachi of course performed very well the first week, but basically, that says it all. Pettachi, as every good Italian sprinter does, left the Tour. And after that, the contesters for the green jersey weren't able to win just one stage!
