Default Anyone familiar with REI's high-end Novaro bikes?

I looked at a fairly-high-end Novaro road bike the other day....full carbon frame, all Shimano DurAce groupo, very nice, incredibly light...and on sale for half price....roughly $1800 out the door...it's a left-over last year's model they're clearing out. Anyone familiar with this "store" brand from REI, what manufacturer makes their bikes, and how they fare versus similar offerings from Specialized, Trek, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any advice.... -- Jim

Thanks Nath....I'm keeping my eyes on this one, and drooling as I ponder the purchase. Hope to receive/read some other opinions as well....
