I want a road bike for personal fitness and leisure (30-40 mile) runs. My favourite model at the moment is the Giant SCR C2. Does anyone have experience with this bike who can offer advise ?. All comments will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Gordon. |

Hi dafty d, Thanx for your interest, I am sure to get the SCR now. Have a couple of cycling holidays up north (favourite place) every year so might bump into you Best wishes. |

I recently bought a Giant SCR 1 and I've loved it ever since. The 105 gearset is a dream compared to my old Dawes Discovery 301. I've just completed the Norwich 100 on it this weekend (phew what a scorcher) but the SCR was a joy to ride, almost felt like cheating! I'm sure the SCR C2 will be even better for you (carbon frame and all) so go for it! ![]() |

Hi Billy,
Your comment is very welcome. I too did a 100 audax on Sunday,(First Cotswold Outing), the heat was a killer, touch of cramp near the end. Luckily no one mentioned nice cycling weather or I might have gone for the jugular Good Luck. Gordon. |
