Default GT bikes

Hey guys, just a few questions about the GT range. hopefully someone can help me.

I'm looking aat getting a 2006 GT Avalanche Expert or Pro, when does the 2007 range arive in australia? I've seen a 2006 pro reduced to $1399, normally ($2049) this looks like a decent deal to me. Secondly is there a huge difference in regards to specs over the avalanche expert? bang for buck?

keen to get some thoughts on the two bikes,
cheers.

Anyone know any bike shops in Okinawa Japan? I have a GT-idrive 1.0 in need of maintenance and parts. Desperately trying to find a bike shop here on island.
