Default Help me identify a Fuji

I may be fighting for a lost cause here, but darn it I'm going to try.

Back in the early 90's I had a Fuji Tahoe. It was a 21-speed, black with silver speckles, and the words "fuji" and "tahoe" were in purple. It had shimano push-button (trigger-like) shifters. It was the first multi-speed bike I owned and as an early teenager my primary means of transportation. I loved this bike, if this were some kinda Christmas movie and Santa brought me my ideal gift, it would be this bike. It was stolen right out of my parents garage when I was 16. Broad daylight, it was the only thing taken. Days later I saw some middle-aged man riding it and couldn't turn the car around quick enough to catch him.

Now I'm in my late 20's and bought a new bike (from Target) to go riding with my young sons. In short, I hate my new bike. I can't help but constantly compare it to my smooth Fuji. I'm determined to look to replace my stolen bike.

If anyone is familar with the specific model number or information on the Fuji Tahoe I'm talking about, your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I know the exact bike you're talking about...

Sounds like a 1992 model. Should have came through with Shimano 300 components and the early style "push push" Rapid Fire shifters. These sold for about $400 - $425 new and were in between the Thrill and Discovery in the model lineup.
