Default Another day in Bushworld...

Karl Rove: Here George, here's the cards with the speech for the day.

Bush: What's it say?

Karl: It's about Iraq again.

Bush: How long?

Karl: It should take about 15 minutes.

Bush: Good, I wanna go bike riding this afternoon.

Karl: Good, then only take one or two questions. Dont get bogged down.

Bush: Ok. What's on the cards?

Karl: Same as yesterday. You know. Progress on the ground. New Iraqi Government being formed. Fallen heroes. Being safe from terrorism. All that stuff.

Bush: How much longer do I have to do this speech?

Karl: One more week, then we'll switch to immigration again. That Lou Dobbs is really causing trouble.

Bush: Anyway, we can get him fired.

Karl: I'm looking into it. Trying to get the Swift Boat people on it. Maybe he dodged the draft or something. Maybe we can plant a story that he beats his wife or something or takes drugs or hires an illegal immigrant as a housemaid. He's kind of squeaky clean so we may have to be cagey about it.

Bush: That would be good. Just get rid of the guy.

Karl: I want you to walk Barney across the lawn again and hold hands with Laura.

Bush: Do I have to?

Karl: Well, people like to see that kind of shit. It makes them forget about Iraq, and health care, and education, and the budget.

Bush: Ok, where's the fucking dog anyway?

Karl: Its in the cage. I'll have someone get it.

Bush: Where the fuck is Laura?

Karl: I think she's still putting on her lipstick.

Bush: Christ! Another fucking day with all this bullshit.

Karl: Yeah, but it sure pays better than that governor's gig.

Hmmm, I know Bush is a pretty awful President but I sometimes feel it would be cool to see Bush and Wurm in another "thrilla in Manila" bout. That is, a boxing bout staged by Don King featuring Wurm against Bush.
Forget Rocky, here's how it would go......
"Bush is dancing around and trying to stay clear of Wurm's jab and left hook. Wurm is moving forward, throws a right cross, now a jab another right cross but Bush is still dancing around.
Bush grabs and referee Rummy breaks up the clinch.
Now it's Bush throwing jabs and Wurm gets caught. Wurm counters and fires off two shots to the body, a right cross, another left hook and Bush is backpedaling to the ropes. Wurm connects with a jab and another jab and another and Bush is in trouble.
(audience stands up)
Bush connects with a strong leading jab and Wurm is backed up. They're both going toe-to-toe now and it looks like anybody's fight.
Comment George Foreman: "How do you see the fight going, George?"
"Well, Wurm seems to be pressing his advantage with the jab and moving forward while Bush seems to be fitter than expected and drawing on all that stamina he got mountain-biking at Crawford. I see the fight as pretty level so far."
"Thanks, George!"

Imagine the entrance of the two combatants to the ring. Bush would be dressed in a gown with the Texas flag draped on while Wurm wears the standard stars and stripes.
Don King would be grinning from ear to ear and backing Bush as he's a Republican anyway while all we cyclists would be in Wurm's corner cheering him on.
The crowd is shouting "Wurm, bumbaye! Wurm bumbaye!" as they both make their way into the ring.
As for Wurm, he'd be using psychological warfare, trying to psyche Bush Junior out by yelling, "You're history, chump! You're too ugly to be President!"
Forget Big Brother, I reckon people would be tuning in worldwide to see this bout.
But would Wurm win? Is he fitter than Bush who has Lance Armstrong giving him advice?

It was meant to be funny. I'm glad you have a sense of humour. Besides, at the end of the day, I guess I would be in your corner in any such bout and not George Bush's.
I'm not specifically a Bush fan by any stretch of the imagination.

One good tactic would for Wurm to attend the press conference with a pet-gorilla, aptly called "Chimpenfuhrer".
Journalist - "Wurm, what is this toy gorilla you have with you?"
Wurm - "This here's George Bush's conscience. Meet President Chimpenfuhrer!"
Bush - "You'll regret that come the night of the fight!"
Wurm - "Forget it, chump. You're too ugly and too much a chimp to beat me. You're history sucker!"
Don King - "O.K., folks give me the odds and place your bets."

I'd be happy to meet you somewhere in upstate NY for your ass-kicking - on the bike or off.

No, that was my daughter's playroom you saw, dipshit.

Now, if you think I'm so "out of shape", then why not pay me a visit and put your money where your mouth is? Put up or shut up.

"goodyear tire stomach"? LOL! Hardly. I weigh 191 lbs. and stand 6' tall, with a waist size 35. So, c'mon over punk and I'll pop that oversized zit that sits on top of your neck.
