Default Sidi Action shoes - how are those soles?

My 8-year old Sidi Tecno MTB shoes have just expired , after many kms of abuse.

I'm looking at the Sidi Action as a replacement but I've read a few negative comments about the replaceable sole system being very quick-wearing, and then fairly pricey to replace.

Anyone have any comments on the Action sole, or even the Dominator, which is my alternative choice.

TIA

Everyperson I know who owns sidis LOVES them. The only problem is their price tag. My friends say they are worth the money.
