I’m after a new MTB to replace my Giant ATX780 which I had for 12 years.
I mainly use the bike to get to work (~120km weekly) , but it requires a bit of off-road work occasionally. Looking at around $1K AUS and have shortlisted to: Giant Alias or Specialized Rockhopper Disc ($50 more) To me being comfortable is more important than handling jumping etc.. which I rarely do. Opinions pls? zzkazu |

Opinions? Yes, try a Giant CRX, they come with 28mm tyres and will go most places a MTB will with slicks, and are faster on the road.

I think CRX2 isn't a wise choice for him as he had mention he will be doing abit of off-road work occasionally.
Alot of bike shop are having sale down here in Melbourne, provided you stay in Melbourne. You could get a XTC3 for maybe around $1100, or lesser. Comfort wise, it's better that you try both the bike side by side. Good luck in finding yours. |
