Will any fork crown race work with any headset?
I have an extra set of front shocks that were on my Trek 6500 and never used. The fork crown race that were on them was taken off and put on my new fork. I was gonna give the shocks to my friend but he didnt' want to take the race off his fork. Can I just pick up any crown race and tap it on and it will fit or do we have to get one that is the same as his headset?

I wouldn't count on it.
Try and get a match out of the parts bin at the local bike shop. But you can always give it a shot. |
