I have been riding for about 2 months now and have been racing for a while to, i am currently in the youth catagory (12 - 16) and i am 14, the only thing is the people my age and slightly younger seem to beat me lol. i am just wondering what kind of training i would need to do to get up to their level? i am currently doing about 60km a week and my xc series ends in a couple of weeks so i need to start training for next season.

I feel your pain, bud. I am also 14. But, trust me on this:
BUY THE CYCLIST'S TRAINING BIBLE! That book is PERFECT, and I follow it, well, religously. |

We're all cyclists, it doesn't matter what type of ground your tyres travel over!!! |

Don't worry about everyone beating you at the moment, it takes time to learn how to pedal your bike let alone learn how to do all those other skills! Are you in a club? Which country/place do you live? For now just keep riding your bike and pushing your limits bit by bit. |
