I finally won my first race of the season in Greenville at the training series!!! All that Winter Bike League training paid off I guess! I enjoyed it a lot, for now I am a Cat 4, and won't see the podium for a bit I'm sure!

its good to win isnt it
now im in b grade (cat 2??) on the track and c grade on the road i havent been winning much lately. plenty of top 5 places, 2nd highest so far, but not that elusive win. keep it up and hopefully we'll see another pic with the arms in the air!!! |

Congrats. Winning is an awesome feeling. Who says you won't do it in cat 4's. Looks like you beat the 5's pretty handily. Was that a bunch sprint or did you go away early and hang on? If you don't get another win all year, you at least got one in early. Pressure free the rest of the year now for sure.

i broke away around a 1/4 mile from the finish and held it...one guy that i made friends with during this 6 race series told me i just really caught them off guard, and it was too late..they tried to catch but couldn't...and yes..winning was the most amazing feeling ever!

I'm hardly envious, I've just upgraded to Cat IV and my first two races I had mechincals and in my third race I came in third. Maybe its different winning but being on the podium seem to put pressure on to do it again or move up farther on the podium. We'll see what happens in tomorrow's race! |

+1 I had my first C grade race yesterday, (upgraded yesterday) and won it. You'll be fine... that's quite a winning margin you had there. Well done!! |
