Hi,
I recently came across this old mountain bike and have been trying to figure out exactly what it is, where it came from, and what to do with it. A friend told me it's an old trials bike from the late 80s or early 90s. As far as I can tell it's in mostly stock trim. It's a 21speed, with a 24x1.95 front tire and a 20x2.125 rear tire. The bike weighs about 28lbs and is a blast to ride. I can find no mention of a bike company named "INCLINE", although it's a tough word to search on. There is not much text on the frame, but here is what I could find: Down tube: "INCLINE" (written both on the left and ride side) Chain stay: "Paint by S. Soderman" Top tube: "Made in USA" "SUPER T.I.G. Wo Vinklarek" (the signature is open to interpretation. I've searched a bunch of variations with no luck) I can provide additional specs or photos if requested. The only similar bike I've found online is the 1985 "Velocitech Mountain Machine", as seen on this site: http://www.firstflightbikes.com/198...ain_Machine.htm The 1987 Ibis Trials Comp is a little more common and even makes the rounds at ebay. It's similar only in tire sizes and general age. http://www.firstflightbikes.com/198...Trials_Comp.htm Has anybody ever seen one of these? Please let me know. Thanks! Jay (Denver, CO) ![]() |
