Here' a question for anyone with experience with the dura ace 25th Anniversary group. I've got the chance to puchase this group released in 1998 for 500 euro's. It includes (apart from all the 'normal' components): hubs, pedals, seatpost and headset. It seems to me it's a great deal even if it's 5 years old (not used, of course, and 2x9 speed). Anybody got any comments?
Thanks a lot, Tailwind only. |

due to some bike problems I had to revert to my brothers old bike for a couple of days. The bike stems from late eighties - condcorde frame and DA group. seeing as how this bike hasn't been used for at least 3 years, I was impressed by how smoothly it all ran.
So an 98 DA group sounds to me like a pretty good deal, engineering and qulity wise most certainly - if the extra parts fit the frame you have (diameterwise, etc) I'd go for it! |

Dura-Ace for 500 euros - go for it! Unless you want/need the 10-speed gruppo when it comes out, you won't be dissatisfied. As long as the components haven't been used, I doubt you'd notice any difference between '98 D/A and '03 D/A.
