Default fork travel spacers?

Hi guys, My EXR is set to top travel and I'm tired of screwing with the sag for the wrong reasons and blah blah whatever...

My problem is I have no idea how to reduce the travel. Do I add spacers? Do I take them out? Do I just open the fork and move them around? What do they look like? Pictures? Where do they go? Do I need Marzocchi spacers or can I use Rock Shox ones or Lifesavers or something?

Tell me anything, please.

EXR?...which model EXR? As dvddobson said, id say you have a coil-sprung fork but that may not be the case.
