Following the death of the 100th British soldier in Iraq, this week, Minister of Defence John Reid announced that 20,000 British troops are being deployed
to Afghanistan immediately! It seems that nearly 5 years after the "liberation" of Afghanistan that more troops are required to be inattendance there. Dr Reid stated that this deployment of troops was "a temporary measure" and nothing whatsoever got to do "with the growing state of unrest in Southern Afghanistan". For the record, that number of troops surpasses the number of British troops in Northern Ireland at the height of the Troubles. Must be a bad siti'ation - as a Scot (Dr Reid) would say !

Looks like they are going to combat the growing heroin trade and remaining taliban. Might be ramping up for a major operation. http://telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jh.../14/ixhome.html |

Looks like another military campaign that was supposed to have worked - didn't.

Looks like Britain & US want to make sure they control the growing and lucrative heroin trade. It's a big, fat cash cow for the CIA - always has been.
Do your homework, folks, because you ain't gonna get the truth from the Main Stream Media.

Not being funny... But they didn't exactly "make advances" so much as just reform. Which is exactly what I predicted in November 2001... What would I know ? I'm not paid $250,000 a year as a Military pundit. ![]()
