Default Q. about road racing

I saw on TV once riders that after a long road race put their legs in a something that looked like a tub filled with some liqued. They also rubbed their legs with some glove....

what is that? what is it for? and do you do this ?

Not sure what you saw. You sure they weren't just taking a bath. Lots of Euros use glove-like washcloths.

I know we used to rub a cream into our legs before bed that was supposed to help with recovery. Couldn't tell you what was in it, but it felt good.
