I saw Genevieve plow solo 10 minutes off the front of the women's field in a 6o mile road race, catch the junior field( at Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont), plow through the junior field, like a time trialist, and drop them like a bad habit on the lower slopes of the Middlebury Gap.
Yeah right. These juniors included a number of Cat 3 riders, an elite team of juniors who had raced L'Abitibi (the only world cup junior stage race in North America) and even some higher Cat 1-2 riders, an espoir team from Canada with 18 and nineteen year olds, a number of whom now ride for American pro teams, and no 5 foot 2 inch 100 pound female athlete could realistically do that, I mean drop a peloton of 50 lead male 16-19 year old riders flying like 20-22 mph up a 4-5% gradient on the drag up before the climb. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!! one word, doping then she "misses" the medical control after Fleche Wallone then she tests postive for EPO. Its over and a good thing. |
