About 6 weeks ago I ordered over 400 euros of parts from Syntace in Germany. These included a C2 Clip. They do not take credit cards so I it took some time to get a euro payment to them but they finally shipped the goods in early June.
Unfortunately they shipped the wrong size C2 Clip so I contacted them via email thinking it would be fairly easy for them to arrange to ship the correct size and collect the wrongly shipped item. This has turned out to not be the case. Syntace first suggested I buy a second C2 Clip from them and that I should try to sell the first one to to friend. I declined their offer to act as their sales agent in Finland. They then suggested that I send to them the item they shipped incorrectly at my expence and on receipt they would ship me the correct part. I again emailed them and suggested that they should immediately send the corrent part and have the delivery agent correct the item sent in error. Since this email Syntace have done nothing. They have not responded to emails and though they have promised a response when I speak to them on the telephone nothing has yet happened. I now want to return all the goods to Syntace and purchase from another supplier that has some level of commitment to customer service. I pass along this story to both warn others to be careful when dealing with Syntace and to suggest that until they accept credit card payments it is better not to purchase from their German Internet Shop. (Most credit card companies will help you in situations where a merchant trys to screw you on a purchase.) |
