Default Mac compatability with powermeter software

I understand that Cyclingpeaks requires Windows for use. The FAQs on their page list Virtual PC 7 Windows 2000 as the best option. Is this the consensus of the Mac users here as well?
Also, if you are using the Powerlink Lite software from Powertap how is the Mac compatability issue handled?
I am planning on buying a Powertap pro wheel and use a Mac. I am just investigating the options before I leap.
Thanks
