Default Durham, NC Training Partners

I am tired of getting smoked by my husband and his friends. Any women in the area that would like to ride?

Still looking for someone?

I'm looking to buy a bike now. I've not ridden in about 35yrs, so AI doubt you'll get "smoked" by me! LOL

Where do you ride? My plans, once I get comfortable on the bike, is to check out some of the trails nearby. I'm in northern Durham, off Milton, near the high school (and elementary school and middle school!)

Will likely be 2 weeks before I can buy the bike, althogh I'm considering going today.

Did/do you buy/service your bike at one of the local shops? If so, which one.

Cindy

[QUOTE=CindySue48]Still looking for someone?

Hi Cindy,
I am always looking for someone to ride with. I live off of Infinity Rd., so I think we are pretty close to one another.

I had a bike that I got from Durham Cycle Center (now I believe it is the Bicycle Chain), but I ride a tri bike now, so I haven't been there in a while. You could certainly get a bike at Performance in Carrboro, and save some money, but if service is more of an issue, I would probably go to DCC, for the sake of convenience.

Let me know what happens, and we can get together and ride!

Oh yea, we're close! I'm off Lakeview off Milton, near Northern High.

I was supposed to get/order my bike today, but got to the shop just after they closed! grrrrr. I was coming from Boone, got stuck in traffic.

I will definitly interested in having someone to ride with. Where do you ride your tri bike? That's tri for triathlon? I have a friend who does duathlons, the third part is the swimming?
