I'm fairly new to competive cycling (1st year) and have been experiencing a metallic taste in my mouth immediately after performing a maximal kilo sprint effort and I'm concern this may be a health problem. Any ideas what could be causing this as this is the only time it happens?

Get in to your family doctor-Could very well be nothing, but it can also be a sign of hepatic dysfunction. Simple little blood draw will do the trick to test for specific enzymes. Get cleared and get back riding!
