Default Giant or Land Rover...?

I've been looking for a bkie for a little while now. I have narrowed it down to two that my local bike shop has and I just want advice on which one mught be better. Should I go for a Land Rover Discovery Karnac with SRAM Gripshift and Shimano mechs or a Giant Rock with Rapid fire and Shimano mechs? Both have sprung front forks.

What's the verdict?
