Please don't take this badly, but the Mongoose XR 100 is a low-end department store bike. Most quality aftermarket shocks cost as much if not more than your bike itself.
Is something actually wrong with your current shock? If not, ride your bike like you stole it and save your money up for a better bike after you get every ounce of life out of your current one. If your current shock is broken, you might be able to find a cheap replacement on Ebay or such. For a replacement, the eye-to-eye length(shock bolt to shock bolt) is an important measurement to match, as well as the actual shock travel length. If you are bottoming out the shock, maybe all you need to do is replace the outer coil spring. Hope this helps your search. ![]() |
