Default Marzocchi DH-3 Question

Hi All
I have had these Marzocchi DH-3 since new and have had no problems until now, they have gone all sloppy, bottom out etc, on checking on the WEB I found that they can be tuned ie add oil and air, this was news to me, also they stated you can add springs to these shocks, so my question is can I use a compressor to add air or do I have to use a special hand pump and also what type of spring will they take, I have all the data on oil weight, level and air pressure so if someone can help it would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
Chunder

Default Re: Marzocchi DH-3 Question

Well it seems I am on my own so I used the saying suck it and see, first when I pulled these shocks off I found one had no oil and no air, the other 11psi and half full of oil, with new 20W oil 35mm from the top (compressed) and all back together I am back to my original question how to add air, well this is what I did, first my compressors nozzle is too big so I used the bikes hand pump and using a digital guage but because the air space is so small in the shock any amount of air lost while checking pressure was huge I mean around 5-10 psi, so I think a hand pump with a built-in guage would be the way to go, I added 51 psi to these shocks and they are as good as new.
Regards
Chunder
ps I hope this may help somone in a similar situation.
